Your First Yoga Class: What to Expect

Your first class is a chance to explore, not a test you need to pass. Here is what a beginner session usually looks like.

Before you arrive

Book your place, wear clothes you can move in and bring any confirmed equipment. Aim to arrive 5 minutes before the class starts to avoid feeling rushed.

When you walk in

You will be shown where to put your things and where to settle. You do not need to know where to sit, what to call a pose or how to set up.

During the class

There will be a warm-up, guided movement, options to adapt and time to rest.

If you are not flexible

Flexibility is something that can change over time, but it is not a prerequisite.

After the class

You can ask Sian about the next session and book again when it feels right.

Put the guide into practice

Book your next class with the time, cost and venue details in one place.
